The Definition, The Purpose & Expectations...

MENTAL: Intellectual process involving the mind or could also be a disorder, you be the judge...
MEDIC: Medical practitioners in the armed forces in the old days got given the nickname, it's also an old world herb of the genus Medicago, having small flowers and trifoliate leaves ie the 3 leaf clover.
MONOLOGUE: A long utterance by one person (especially one that prevents others from participating in the conversation).

In South Africa we do not have the luxury of been able to debrief often, its too busy, no this, no that, so we make do with what we have, besides one does not get the award for being the no1 trauma capital in the world for nothing! But this "little rural village" is the most diverse in the world, from one end of the spectrum to the other in sociology, physiology and criminology. Expect to be entertained, shocked, informed, empowered, touched, saddened, sickened, surprised, educated, tested, enlightened and if you are in the EMS would definitely be able to relate to the blog.

So in a nut shell it will be the method of my choice in "debriefing myself", like its needed. If a calling a spade a spade offends you then I suggest you run now, this blog will contain graphic descriptions and pictures that will shock you...

Reality as real as it gets, depicted through my eyes and sharing my experiences with you. Let your thoughts be provoked, mindsets adjusted and attitudes challenged.

The Human Touch

Have a read, take heed and apply, not just for family, keep in touch with your mates, even if its a sms once a month!

After losing touch with my old school crew over the past three years, I was missing them bad and felt I needed to see them, so I hunted them down this past weekend and was over the moon when we saw each other. It was all good, but something was missing? I asked where Bevan was and thats when he said "shit you don't know do you", he lifted up his sleeve and there it was, a huge tattoo with "in loving memory of Bevan"

I was speechless, how? when? Bevan passed away nearly 2yrs ago, had a mis-diagnosed brain tumour that was so aggressive it took him out in 7 months. I feel so kak because I was not there, 3yrs ago my sister was robbed from me, so please remember that sometimes friends are the only brothers and sisters we have, life is too short to let un-important shit take up your time, materialistic shit, politics.... whatever....that will always be there, but one things for sure, our brothers and sisters won't be.

RIP - Bevan & Natasha, at least you have each others company up there!

Cherish Life, Live Life, we only have one, one opportunity, one chance...make it worth it!!!!!!!! To all my friends, family and colleagues, I love you guys and appreciate all the shit you give me, its time for unity amongst similar mind people to take back what has been lost....

the Human Touch!
